About this game

Arcade Spirits is a Fiction Factory Games Ren'Py dating sim set in an alternative timeline where the 1983 video-game crash never happened. It is 20XX, you have just started a new job at the Funplex game arcade, and the cast of co-workers around you is the actual game.

The game runs deep character creation across pronouns, hairstyle, skin tone, hair colour, and eye colour, all reflected in gameplay and artwork. 2DCG art holds the diner-bright palette, and content threads lesbian routes, gay routes, male and female love interests, and roleplaying-based personality growth.

No sexual content on screen: the story sits in the friendship / platonic / romantic register, with the writing leaning on voice acting, period-flavoured nostalgia, and the slow build of an arcade family. A foundational dating-sim with strong queer representation across every route.

Design your own character from the ground up - pronoun, hairstyle, skin tone, hair color, eye color and more are completely customizable and are reflected throughout the game in both gameplay and artwork!
With roleplaying-based choices, you will be able to grow your personality and relationships in any way you desire; Friendship, Platonic or something more intimate! Work hard and build the relationship you desire with a total of seven romanceable characters!
The Identity Identifier System, or IRIS, can track your relationship statuses with all characters throughout Arcade Spirits as well as your personality traits, from Quirky, Steady, and Kindly, to Gutsy and Basically.
Everything you choose in Arcade Spirits, from your relationships to your personality, your crisis management moments, and a myriad other decision will have an effect on the future of your arcade!
Developed in Ren'py for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Arcade Spirits 2.0 contains a bucketful of polish to shine things up real nice. Nothing major, but you'll get a better experience overall. - Fixed all reported typos. (If you spot any left, let us know.) - Clarified a few unclear or misleading decisions. (A little rewording goes a long way.) - Improved visual impairment mode support. (Tap V key to turn on self-voicing. The character creator's been expanded for this mode.) - Adjusted language in a few places. (Some lines were unintentionally dodgy and problematic.) - Swapped placeholder sequel teases with full references to Arcade Spirits: The New Challengers. (Didja know we're making a sequel?
