Her brother still looks after her; she still spends her days waiting for time to pass. Years later, Mary finally realizes she has stopped feeling any excitement at all. Just as she begins to question why she is even alive, she receives a strange hypnosis video sent by an old friend. The video stirs feelings she thought were long gone, and time starts moving for her again. The 2DCG anime art carries the slow-darkening palette across every scene, and content threads lesbian routes, female domination turns, and mind control beats. The Carol Update extends the original story with more weight on the relationships the hypnosis pulls Mary back into.
